Transition into Fall Fashion: 3 Tips on how to transition from Summer to Fall Fashion without breaking the bank

Fall transitional outfit

This is not a drill, fall is here!!! I am going to show you how to transition into Fall fashion, without going broke. My favorite thing to do is to mix high and low-cost fashion together to make a chic outfit.

  1. Don't throw away your Summer Clothes

I know that the summer is over, and it is starting to get colder outside, but DO NOT..I repeat do not throw away your summer clothes just yet. Thankfully, in most places, Fall is just a preview of Winter, so it is not below zero just yet. One of my favorite things to do is to layer my Summer pieces to make them Fall friendly. I am a big fan of cropped jackets. Throwing on a denim, leather, suede, or any cropped jacket is going to keep you warm. Adding any kind of jacket, blazer, or sweater is going to keep you from freezing this Fall. Another way to layer is to put a long sleeved shirt under your sleeveless pieces. This will not only add warmth, but an element of interest to your outfit. By keeping your summer pieces a while longer, this will delay you from spending tons of money on new pieces.

  1. Add Warm Accessories

Adding a scarf, a pair of gloves, or (my personal favorite) tights to your summer outfit will allow you to extend those Summer pieces a little longer. I found fleece lined tights last year and they changed my life. Fleece lined tights are not only super comfy, but they keep your legs from feeling that crisp Fall breeze. Gloves are usually an accessory that most people bring out in the Winter, but if you need them... use them! I love wearing faux leather gloves. They bring a "richness" to any outfit. Scarves are not only meant to keep you warm, but they are a great accessory to add to any outfit.

  1. Dust Off those boots

Boots are usually an accessory that you keep for years, so go ahead and dust them off! Every year around Fall I go searching for my boots that I had tucked away all summer long. My personal favorite is to add knee or thigh high boots to a summer outfit. Dressing up a mini dress or skirt with a pair of boots will definitely give the Fall vibes, while keeping you warm.
